Making Comic Friends Come Alive

Posted on: June 28, 2011

Saturday mornings used to be filled with cartoons like Bugs Bunny, Speed Racer or Yogi Bear. Now cartoons are on every day, 24 hours a day. Shows like "SpongeBob SquarePants" and "Star Wars, the Clone Wars" dominate the channels. There are even cartoons for adults like "The Simpsons" and "Family Guy." Almost every major comic has been turned into a cartoon series that you can watch at any hour of the day. One thing hasn't changed: kids and adults still have their favorites. If you are under 10, then your favorite cartoon might be "SpongeBob," while 30-year-olds may prefer the raucous antics of "Family Guy." In the past, the only way to get a picture of your favorite cartoon character was to find a poster and pin it to the wall. Today, a modern wall decal comes in all kinds of shapes and sizes, making most posters a thing of the past. Maybe your child loves the show "Bob The Builder." A wall sticker of Bob could be three feet tall and may come with the other TV series characters. Such large images make it feel like you are in the room with the characters. A wall sticker is affixed to a painted wall so you can place it along the bottom of the wall and run it all the way to the top. Your child can walk right up to them, and because wall stickers have such strong glue backings, can touch them and feel like they are with their favorite cartoon friend. A modern wall decal doesn't stain the wall or leave a residue. So when your child becomes tired of one character and finds a new one to idolize, you can easily redecorate the room in a new style. There is a great selection of comic wall decals available, with decals from almost every comic book and cartoon series. Even the older characters like Speed Racer and G.I. Joe, or newer ones Dora the Explorer and Spiderman, are available in fantastic wall decals. Shop around in stores and online to find the best selection of wall stickers and comic wall decals to transform your room into a television series adventure.
